The
Fourth Sonata for the Piano was written in March and April of
2005. The
work consists of three movements. The poetry by D.H. Lawrence,
Octavio Paz and C. Baudelaire, quoted at the beginning of each
movement, merely illustrates the mood
of the music. The sonata is dedicated to my longtime friend, mentor
and teacher
Edith Grosz.
